My earliest moments of writing that I am able to remember would be in my last few years of elementary school like 4th-5th grade when we were being introduced to the formats that would be thrown at us when we get in middle school, which of course were MLA and APA formats. When the day actually came to put our writing or abilities into action, I’m not gonna lie, I didn’t know what I was doing and still don’t know what I’m doing, but you never know what I’m capable of that’s why I’m still trying to work and advance my writing abilities to further me in life and things education wise, which I suppose is why we have to do all these years of school, is it to master or is it another justified reasoning is what I want to know, but that’s in the least of my interest right now.
Which brings me to my thoughts on writing as a young child, did I or did I not like writing and I’m guessing you already know the answer to this, and, yes, you’re right, I do not hlike writing at all whatsoever, but I know that it’s a key component in getting through life because all the things we do in life require a signature at least once I suppose. Although I would always hate when I went to school and the first thing that my English teacher would say, “ hey class get some paper out because we’re writing a paper“ I would honestly cringe at it because my love for writing isn’t there. and I don’t want to say that I hate that because I really don’t. it’s just that I know I have to do things in life to get me to a different level. I might not like, and its aggravating, but I have to deal with it for the time being. like, why can’t there be another method like my own instead of somebody else’s way of doing something I want to do. which It is crazy to me, but hey, it’s life I guess. Lastly, I would most definitely not consider writing to be a strength of mine at all,oh my goodness, because writing to me is a very complex subject that you have to be really motivated to do and willing to do. I personally don’t think you can just throw somebody in a writing class and be like, “hey write a paper about this subject and turn it in” and expect them to have all the components that you want in there. it literally takes time to master just one format, and we 12th graders are learning two different formats, – well most of us at least, and it’s mind boggling because that’s a lot of things you have to maintain and keep in mind cause sooner or later we’ll be tested on them.
